Dirk x Tough!Reader: My Bestfriend - Suitor pt. 3

-In the past…-  ~Dirk’s PoV~

“Hey… [Name]…” I said.

“Yes, Strider?” [Name] asked.

“You know… I have a nightmare…Yesterday…”

“What nightmare?” She asked.

“That… You leave me alone… I kept calling at you, but… You ignore... Me…” I said.
[Name] smiled. Then she hugged me.

“Dirk, it’s just a dream… It will never happen. I promise you, I’ll be at your side forever. I’ll never ever leave you alone! I promise!” She said.

“Thanks…”

-Present-

I awake. Man, it’s just a dream. I never forgot that event. That she promise me that she’ll at my side forever, but it’s just a LIE. She leave me alone.  Darn it.. Why does it happened to me..? I sighed. When I looked at the time, It’s 6:15 in the morning, nah I need to prepare.

~Reader’s PoV~

“[Name]!! Your school bus is here!!” Jane shouted.

“Okay! Okay! Wait… All my things are here now…? Hmmm… OKAY! I’m done! *coughs* man, I’m not feeling okay today.” You said, then running going to the school bus.

“Take care, [Name]!!” Jane said.

You smiled. And entered at your school bus. You kept coughing. Man, you’re sick today. Because of you’re always sleeping late for your studies. And you seldom to sleep early. And your body felt heavy today. But... You don’t want to go absent… Several minutes later, your school bus finally arrives. You instantly walk away instead of running away. First, you visited your locker, still the same, some girls giving you some hate letters. You sighed and coughed too hard. Why.. Why does it happened to you…? You didn’t do anything, you just do what is right and… Why many students hate you…?

It really hurts soo hard. You hate your life so much. Even you have friends, you’re not still happy. You do your best just make people happy, but they don’t mind you. Even the worst, they backstab you.

~Dirk’s PoV~

I finally arrived at the school. Today, many girls are staring at me, and squealing. Like their kokoro go doki doki, but I don’t mind them. Later, I finally entered my classroom. I saw [Name] is not… feeling okay…

“Hey [Name]…” I said.

“Oh. Sup Dirk.” She said.

“Are you okay…?”

She sighed. “Of course Dirk! I’m always okay!” She happily said.

“Really? You seems… Pale today…”

“Nah, nah, I’m totally okay! Don’t worry.” She smiled. And she coughed later then, I rubbed her back.

“I knew it.” Then I put my left hand on her head. I got surprised. She got a fever!

“[Name], You need to go rest now!” I said,

“Nope. I don’t want.” She said. Come on, is she’s really like that? Later then we starting to argue each other until the teacher arrives.

I sighed. Why she’s like that…?

-Time skip, Lunch time!-

I’m eating with [Name], And I kept staring at her. She kept panting and panting.. Even she’s not running or do something very hard tasks. This worries me a lot.

“Wait, I gonna go the sink for a while, Dirk.” She said then she walk away. And I secretly follow her. While she’s walking, she kept touching at the walls and she kept coughing. I’m very worried at her.. And… She fainted. My eyes go wide because of that happening.

“[NAME]!!! Are you okay!?!?” I asked, she kept panting. I put my hand on her head, Tch! Her fever got higher! So I lift her in bridal style and go to the clinic.

Darn. I need to hurry. Later, I finally find the clinic. And lays her at the clinic’s bed.
“What happened, sir?” The school nurse asked.

“[Name], She got a high fever!” I replied.

The school nurse got gasped. She hurries come to [Name], checking her health.

-20 minutes later…-

Man, I’m late for 20 minutes already! Man, I already told her to go home and rest, but she don’t want.. She’s really forcing herself too hard. Later, the school nurse arrived.

“What’s your name, Sir?” The nurse asked.

“Dirk. Dirk Strider.” I answered.

“Ms. [Name]… She really needs to rest… By the way, how many subjects you have left?”

“2 last subjects, or 2 hours left.”

“Well, She need to rest here. Until dismissal.” The said, then she give me the excuse letter.

“You need to go to your room now; maybe your teacher will mad at you.” She added.
After that, I walk away. And go to my class. The teacher seems mad at me.

“Mr. Strider, why are you late? It’s been 20 minutes! Where are you been?!” The teacher asked.

“I go to the clinic. Because [Name] is fainted awhile ago. I’m very sorry that I’m late.” I said. Then I go to my desk.

Now, I need to wait 2 hours. I gonna tell her that She need to absent for that she can rest from school work. Deep sigh.

Now, I’m very worried at her… She must stop forcing herself. This make me worried.
